I want to know what's the truth? Is anal sex haram or not?please response my question. Answer Praise be to Allaah. Firstly: There are many saheeh ahaadeeth which show that anal intercourse is haraam, such as the following: 1 – It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The one who has intercourse with his wife in her back passage has disavowed himself of that which was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).” Narrated by Abu Dawood (3904); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood. 2 – It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “All...

Meaning of the hadeeth, “Treat women kindly”

Image
Question The hadeeth says, “Treat women kindly, for woman was created from a bent rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is the top part…” Please explain the meaning of this hadeeth, especially the phrase “and the most crooked part of the rib is the top part”. Answer Praise be to Allaah. This is a saheeh hadeeth which was narrated by the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhaari and Muslim] in al-Saheehayn from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Treat women kindly, for woman was created from a bent rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is the top part, so treat women kindly.” This is a command to husbands, fathers, brothers and others to treat women kindly and not to oppress them; to give them their rights and to guide them to do good. This is what is obligatory upon everyone, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be up...

It is permissible for a woman to cut her hair for the purpose of adornment, and there is nothing wrong with that

Image
Question I have often heard that it is not permissible for a woman to cut her hair at all, according to the rulings of Islam. I want to understand the reason, because I think that she needs to trim her hair from time to time. Can you explain this issue in detail? I also heard that the woman is required to grow her hair as long as possible, and she should not cut it or shave it, because it will be a cover for her on the Day of Resurrection when all people are gathered naked. Is this true, and is there any evidence for it? Answer Praise be to Allah Firstly: What the scholars have stated is prohibited with regard to a woman cutting her hair, is the following: 1.     If she is going to flaunt it in front of non-mahram men. 2.     If by cutting her hair, her intention is to imitate disbelieving women or immoral women. 3.     If she cuts her hair in a manner resembling men’s hairstyles. 4.     If her hair is cut...

More Women in Hell Than Men?

Image
Question Why will there be more women in hell than men? Answer Praise be to Allah. It was narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that women will form the majority of the people of Hell. It was narrated from ‘Imran ibn Husayn that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I looked into Paradise and I saw that the majority of its people were the poor. And I looked into Hell and I saw that the majority of its people are women.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 3241; Muslim, 2737) With regard to the reason for this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was asked about it and he explained the reason. It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “I was shown Hell and I have never seen anything more terrifying than it. And I saw that the majority of its people are women.” They said, “Why, O Messenger of Allah?”...

If a pregnant woman feels a bit tired can she break her fast?

Image
Question Can a pregnant woman break her fast in Ramadan if she feels a bit tired?. Answer Praise be to Allaah. It should be noted that not every kind of tiredness or hardship is regarded as an excuse which makes it permissible not to fast in Ramadaan, because fasting is not free of some tiredness and hardship, but in most cases it is a small-scale, ordinary kind of hardship. Based on this, if a pregnant woman feels a little bit tired, one of the following two scenarios must apply: 1 – when she feels a little tired but it does not cause intense, extraordinary hardship, and she does not fear for herself or her unborn child. In this case she is obliged to fast and it is not permissible for her to break the fast. 2 – when the hardship experienced is severe and she fears that she or her unborn child may be harmed. In this case it is better for her not to fast, and that may be obligatory for her. The fact that a pregnant woman is permitted not to fast is indicated by the...

Is it permissible for him to ask Allaah for the girl who is edited to let her be the bride in Paradise?

Image
Question The daughter of my maternal uncle died in an accident, and I was intending to propose marriage to her. Is it permissible to pray to Allaah to make her my bride in Paradise, or is this overstepping the mark in du’aa’? May Allaah reward you with good. Answer Praise be to Allaah. First of all, we ask Allaah to encompass that girl with His mercy, and to admit her to His Paradise, and to bless her family and all her relatives with patience and consolation. We advise you to treat her parents kindly, and help them to overcome their trial. With regard to yourself, we advise you to accept the decree of Allaah and to have faith that all things are in His hand (?), and that He controls all things in this universe, and He has great wisdom and He cannot questioned as to what He does, while they will be questioned. With regard to your question about praying that this girl will be your wife in Paradise, there is no reason why you should not do that, if Allaah wills, and you ma...
