Question My friend got divorced in this Ramzan and his wife was(is) 5 months pregnant as well . The reason for divorce was that his wife had boy friends before marriage and someone said that after marriage also she would meet her ex boy friends . On this reason he divorced her and under the influence of his parents. Now what i want to know is was that a right path , did it have Allah's Sanction to this deed ? what about the child who is in the womb ? What will happen to that baby and his/her future ? Answer Praise be to Allaah. What you have mentioned in the question covers a number of issues: 1 – What you have mentioned about your friend divorcing his wife during her pregnancy is valid according to the consensus of the scholars, because of the hadeeth of Ibn ‘Umar in al-Saheehayn, according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Tell him to take her back, then to divorce her when she is pure (not menstruating) or pregnant.” That in...

She repented from a haram relationship in which she lost her virginity. Should she marry who fornicated with her?

Question I am in a relationship with a man who took my virginity. I repented from such evil deeds and ask Allah to accept my repentance. This man proposed to me, but he is not religious, he smokes cigarettes and hashish and drinks alcohol. What should I do, he knows my matter. Or shall I leave him and have a hymen repair operation done and marry a religious man? I was pregnant and I aborted the baby. Allah knows how sincere my repentance is. Answer Praise be to Allaah. Firstly: Zina (fornication or adultery) is a major sin. Allaah has forbidden doing the things that lead to it and has prescribed the hadd punishment for the one who does it, and He has warned adulterers of punishment in the Hereafter. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin), and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah forgives him” [al-Isra’ 17:32]. Ibn Jareer al-Tabar...

A Christian woman is asking for advice about her relationship with a Muslim who talks with her and goes out with her

Question Very Happy to reach your site, hope I find my solution here, here's my story. I am a 23-years mother with two kids. I have met a 30-years Muslim man, talked together on phone, things went well, and finally I met him face to face last Saturday when we talked for 5 minutes before he leaves. Then we met again on Sunday, went to see a movie, and he kissed me on my lips. I am not sure of his adherence to Islam, all I know is that he doesn't smoke nor does he drink alcohol. He even advises me to keep away from such two bad habits. My question is : can a Muslim behave seriously with a woman like me with two children (not cheating)? A Muslim sister answered me with "No" because I am not a virgin in addition that dating is not allowed in Islam. I am feeling badly as I love him much and respect his religion. I can't imagine how his family will look to me if both he and me keep this relation? Will they think ill of me as a bad woman who has two kids and go o...
